It’s Christmas Eve-Eve! Time to get our e-caroling on!

This has long been a favorite of mine. It gets me right here every time:

And of course we can’t forget this classic:

Lindsey Stirling has been busy. Enjoy!

This is a great one from The Piano Guys. Carol of the Bells has always been one of my favorites.

For some reason this song started playing in my head, over and over and over again. It’s a catchy tune, but I have to admit it’s always confused the hell out of me. There’s something about it that just doesn’t make sense. Oh and this is the original Vicky Lawrence one. I understand Reba somebodyorwhatever did a cover of it too. I never heard hers.

As a side-note, something odd happened in the recording studios in the late 60’s to early 70’s: producers grabbed anybody who had ever done anything in front of a TV camera, shoved a mic in front of their face and told him or her to sing. Some of them did surprisingly well – the aforementioned Mrs. Lawrence for one, Goldie Hawn for another. Others…not so well. It was probably the drugs. I mean, what else would explain THIS? Anyway…

Let’s unpack this sucker and see if we can’t get to the bottom of what exactly happened one fateful night in Georgia when the power in the entire state got snafu’d:

Let’s get off the depressing shit for a bit shall we? Yes we shall!

Some while back I put up a youtube clip that sometime former blogger  / commenter Steamboat cGoo enjoyed enormously.  He indicated that he loved high energy orchestral stuff like you get from the better symphonies and movies like “Conan the Barbarian”.  Somebody track the ol’ rascal down and tell him to come over here and check this stuff out. Behold! I give you Two Steps From Hell!

Another:

This stuff just makes you want to rip your shirt off and do something epically heroic.

Black Blade:

This stuff is music for movie trailers! The’re also used in video games I believe. They’re all relatively short and insanely punchy.

They have two full albums on Amazon: Invincible and Archangel. I highly recommend both. Oh! And a new one that just came out! SkyWorld. Yay! New music for me too!

She’s a very talented young lady who’s burning it up on her YouTube channel. I absolutely love her music and her videos are fantastic. This one is my favorite, though they’re all good.

She has an album out of her original music out now too. I just got it last week and I’m enjoying it immensely. There’s not a bad track on the whole thing. You should go buy it ->Lindsey Stirling. Lastly, she’s on tour! If you live near any of these places you should go see her.

I like it!

Unrelated but I like this too: Octopus Chair. It probably won’t eat your soul.
