Yarn January 14, 2014

Posted by Mitchell in Home.

I have yarn.

Much yarn

More yarn. Used to be a pool table. Now it’s a yarn table.

So. Much. Yarn.

You know what I did last night? Yes, I bought more yarn.

I don’t have a problem. I can stop anytime I want to.

There’s no problem with collecting yarn, until you have to call 911 for rescue, because a large stack fell and pinned you to the wall.

Yes, there is that I suppose. Still I should get this stuff organized. I don’t even know what I actually have anymore.

Looks like it would make a fluffy bed if piled all together… 🙂 At least it keeps you warm. My obsession with tea won’t do that and it isn’t comfy to sleep on.

looks like the aftermath of a Tribble kegger

btw: Happy New Year!
hope all is well –

Belated Happy New Year to you! Yes, things are pretty ok around here. You?

The winter is going by pretty fast for me. I haven’t had time to finish my spider cave basement project, but I do have it at a point where the spiders recognize they are no longer welcome. I did finish my back porch project (complete with mahogany floor and hot tub) and am enjoying it in the sub-zero weather.

So…you’re saying you yearn for yarn?

Try saying that five times fast!

Mitchell - January 31, 2014

Worse! I even yen to yearn for yarn!

Seems you prefer the cool palette. Plan a big purple project to eat all that up?

Mitchell - January 31, 2014

I do indeed tend to be drawn to the purples and blues. Most of that yarn was bought spur-of-the-moment, or at a going out of business sale with no particular notion of what to do with it. Funny you should mention a big purple project though. See a couple posts below about the Cathedral Rose Window afghan. I took a break for a while to work on other stuff but I need to get back to it.

I would love to see you make a bargello-style throw using blues and purples and greens. It would be spectacular!!
