But I’m getting pretty good at crochet! These are for me, made of Merino wool. I love them! They’re warm without being hot. Now I’m making a pair for my sister. What have you been up to lately?

“What have you been up to lately?”
i’m one year and 4 months into a basement renovation – from circa 1910, dirt floor, forehead smashing, spider dungeon to nine and a half foot ceilinged playroom w/ 3/4 bath and sewing/quilting room – i couldn’t get any contractors to tackle it, so with the help of family and friends i went the “sweat equity” route-
i might post a photo essay on it someday.

I can almost see the light at the end of the money pit tunnel

Wow, sounds like quite The Project! Personally I have no gumption to ever even try to do such a thing so my hat’s off to you.

A sewing/quilting room eh? My Parental Units are avid quilters too. We ought to exchange quilt pics!

Nice foot-warmers, Mitchell!

I’m piddling with trivial circuit design (a very powerful ultrasound dog-irritator for a friend – and his neighbors dog, bless it’s woofy li’l heart. I am discovering that while my toy circuit design skilz are still quite intact, my soldering- and assembly-fu talents have gone the way of the Mastodon.

Someone stole my formerly-exquisite near-eyesight! And what are these shaky hand-like appendages attached to my wrists doing there?

Probably replaced in the night by them Liberals. What utter rectums!

Dogs have it too easy McGoo. They need to be bothered from time to time.

Dastardly Liberals! They screw everything up!

Ooooh…. purdy feety warmz ๐Ÿ˜€

I am trying to keep the kids from killing each other during Spring Break. Also, counting the days until the end of Lent. Sigh…

Get them knitting and / or crochet starter kits! You get an intro book with a pair of needles or hook, some basic wool yarns (best to start with) and you’re up and running for very little money. On top of that there are whole lot of “How To” videos on youtube on getting started.

Yarn arts are fantastically useful skills and I wish I’d learned them when I was a kid. Frankly nobody should be considered “properly educated” without knowing & successfully using the basics of both.

Eldest is making a latch hook rug, and Little One is learning a song in sign language. Knitting will be a good idea for the summer, though ๐Ÿ™‚

LC – “One is learning a song in sign language.”…

Which for some reason caused me to imagine an orchestra conductor sending messages to the musicians, like “Lead violinist! You are pathetic!”, or “Dig the hot chick in the front row!”

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
