Buffy The X-Files Slayer May 28, 2012

Thought I’d drop by and give an update and let y’all know why I’ve been so absent for a while. I’ve been watching Buffy & X-Files shows on Amazon. When these shows were new I was usually working and / or going to night classes so I only got to see them here & there and never in order. It made the overall story arcs impossible to follow. But now Amazon will happily stream them one after another at my will absolutely free. Oh, and while that’s going on I’m working on this for my niece’s daughter who was born last fall:

This is made of a bunch of crochet granny squares that are then sewn together. I have one more course to go around in solid white, then a border around that. It’s getting closer to being done but it’s taken  a LOT longer than I originally estimated. Then Diablo 3 (an addictive computer game for those of you who don’t know about it) came out. My blanket productivity has taken a very big hit and I need to get back on it.

So there ya go.

I’ve lost many hours to Buffy, but I consider it time well spent. I’m sure your niece’s daughter will love the delicate look of this blanket!

I’m up to season 5 now. Buffy suddenly acquired a little sister. All sorts of twists & turns over the show’s run.

I’m sure it will be a few years before the kid can appreciate it to any significant degree. I hope it lasts that long.

That is very nice! I wish I could do granny squares. I have tried and tried but I just can’t get the hang of it on my own. Need to take a class and see someone else do it, I guess.

They’re easy-peasy. Maybe I’ll do a video & post it.

Oh, that blanket sure is lovely, Mitchell! Wish I could crochet…

Anybody can crochet! It’s really not hard.

I have tried several times….just can’t seem to get the hang of it!

Mitchell – it reminds me of sitting with my Gram. She used to mesmerize me with her crocheting and knitting skills… she also used to spoil me with candies like these:

thanks for the memory jog!
