I know how you feel, Enas. Meatspace is hungry, lately.

Right now at work I’m slowly realizing with growing horror that I’m probably going to wind up having to hand-match nearly 5000 records for an analysis that will actually only take maybe five minutes to run. Oy vey. 😦

Enas – that’s going to suck mightily.

Can’t you – like – shuffle it off on to another employee? Tell them its a learning experience, and that it’ll help with their advancement. That always worked for me! I can’t count the number of mind-numbing tasks I’ve avoided by delegating them to someone – anyone! – more deserving than me. 🙂

I wish McGoo, but alas, no I don’t. Everytime I think I’ve figured out a way around this it twists and says “no, you can’t do it that way.” Utterly maddening.

Yay! I was pulled offa this project and put on a different one! Now I get to study the possible benefits of crafting regulation to tell people what they can and can’t do with their own yards.

Um. Yay?

Ya see! It’s the power of positive thinking, I’m thinking. Yay! Woot!

Be sure to periodically go by the desk of whoever inherits that sorting job and giving them some shit. Keep the misery alive, I say! Especially when its not your own! Hah!

Enas, get off my yard!!!

Enas! I haven’t been by here in ages, but I read some of your old posts today and wanted to say congratulations – you have lost a whole person! That’s fantastic!

also, that post where you said you were “phoning it in” on the sketch made me resolve to never take an art class

Nice find Lipstick! Very interesting development on the diabeetus front.

Whoa, a rare visit from the Inimitable Mrs. Peel! Thanks for dropping by! I still have a considerable ways to go on the weight loss goal, but I’m back on the exercise and diet horsey this week so here’s to hoping for another five pounds closer to the final destination.

Alas for inspiring the ill-conceived resolution! You should definitely take an art class Mrs Peel. You should never let someone else’s skill and accomplishments serve as a discouragement to developing your own. Certainly not when such skills and accomplishments are as modest as my own. 😉

Heh. Someday I will take an art class. After this nightmare of a semester, though, which isn’t over until tomorrow night, and after I finish the last class in my master’s this summer, it’s going to be a looooooong time before I sign myself up for any major time commitments again…
