I’ve mugged again.  I can’t help myself; it’s a sickness.

Another Victim

Another Victim

This piece is much smaller than the others. It’s also first one I made at home and discovered that my rolling pin wasn’t able to roll out slabs the size I thought it could. Still, the features are yet another marked improvment over the previous units.

It’s late – more later.

It’s great! The detail around the mouth is fantastic 🙂

Thank you Mary. The mouth is one of the most complex areas on the face and I made a lot of improvements this time.

It’s easy to see that you’re improving rapidly. Quite impressive EY!

They look really good, but I have to ask about the eyes. Is it some kind of statement? Or is it some kind of technical thing where they get added later?

Or are eyes just really hard to do?

Thanks DBS!

As for the eyes, I won’t be adding that detail to them. It’s both a desired part of the look for the pieces, as well as a practical thing. Yes, eyes are hard to do but I can do them. What I didn’t want was to get bogged down into tiny detail, so this makes them quicker to do. Also, I’ve found that the eyeless look makes people somewhat uneasy. It also tends to invite questions. 😉

I’m just glad you didn’t say “It’s a statement condemning blind consumerism in post-modern society.”

They remind me of the giant heads on Easter Island.
