There’s a New Cat In Town March 8, 2007

Well, in the neighborhood anyway.  My cat Isabelle doesn’t like other cats, which is partially the reason why I got her in the first place.  She was originally a stray who got picked up by a friend of a coworker.  She loves cats and already had a couple.  She named the stray and had her spayed and shotted and generally fixed up by a vet.  Unfortunately, coworker’s friend’s new addition didn’t Play Well With Others.  During a casual conversation with said coworker I mentioned that I was considering getting a cat, but mostly leaning towards not getting one I was made aware of her friend’s problem.  Long story short, I got the cat.  She’s been confined to the house pretty much ever since.  Here in Vegas the weather is pretty nice and I’ve been opening the patio door with the screen door closed, and now there’s a new cat outside that’s been coming around.  Isabelle is not pleased.  She wants to kick that other cat’s ass, but can’t.  So, she has an arch-enemy now.  At least she has a hobby.

When Spudder adopted us, our older cat didn’t like it. She is like, 24 years old and not ready to rumble anymore.
She mostly stays indoors now.

24 years old? Huh, who’d a thunk it? Retired Geezer has a geezer cat! 😉
