Another Reason to Enjoy Babylon 5 October 2, 2006

Back in the early to late ’90s there was a good sci-fi television series called Babylon 5 that I really enjoyed.  One of our local AM talk radio stations recently had a shake up in ownership and programming.  What do the two have to do with each other?  Glad you asked!  It seems that the actor Jerry Doyle who played Michael Garibaldi on the series now has a Conservative talk radio show!  Unfortunately he was out sick today and had a guest host on instead so I don’t know how good he is yet.  It’s always nice to find one of those Hollywood types on our side of the political aisle for a change.

Okay, I’ve listened to portions of his shows for the last couple days.  Hmm.  He seems to occupy a similar political orbit to Michael Savage.  Conservative – but he sees little essential difference between Republicans & Democrats.  He’s one of the “Everybody in Washington is corrupt – throw them all out” type.  Eh, sounds great on paper Jerry, but extremely unlikely to happen no?

Michael Savage is off the list of people I want to claim as my allies…
“Please don’t help us!”.
Jerry Doyle is getting there but he doesn’t sound as wacky.

Hee! Yah Savage is an odd duck. I seldom listen to his show for any length of time. I’d love to call his show sometime though and get on the air. First I’d ask him how he was doing, then say “I agree with everything you say, Mikey! Megadittos! You’re a Great American!”

The next thing you hear would be the sound of his head exploding.
