I’m Not Afraid of Heights… March 27, 2008

But I have a very, very healthy respect for depths.
This mountain pass is just crazy:
I betcha LiveLeak loses tons of hits to Youtube ’cause LiveLeak is so retarded.

In order to pay my way through college one of my better jobs was firefighter (forest). There was this one hill that we climbed in the wildland unit (a truck with a tank) where I swear, if you started rolling you wouldn’t stop for 2000 feet…. rough, nasty, jagged, bone-crushing feet.
It is like comparing apples to duck-billed platypii, sure, but my point is that I got the same queasy feeling in the gut. Sure, it’s not the fall that kills you, but rather the sudden stop at the end, but I don’t like falls that are long enough for you to anticipate. I’d never make a good leaper.

Yep, I got that queezy feeling in my gut, too, just watching that.
I don’t know how he was able to hold a camera and film while walking across that narrow pass.
