I looked up the 5906 McGoo. It looks nice, but I really want that classic 1911 look though. I dunno. I've been waffling a bit too - I looked at some of the "Plastic Guns". Sig Sauer has a nifty model that can be changed to different calibers. Gah, so many choices!

I read that article - good stuff! I pulled out the 686 and did some dry firing after reading it and I think I'm already better. I didn't know about the front sight focus - I'm pretty sure I usually look at the target when firing. The high hand placement and hard hold is helping too, I think. I'm gonna mosey down to the range this weekend and see how I do. I think I'll also start sampling the pistol menu too.

Try the S& W 5906. I owned one until it was stolen last year. It was my very first "large" caliber pistol purchase. I got in back in the 80's. I got into reloading shortly after that.

Steve's latest post mentions an article on proper shooting technique. Its worth a read...

Yah, I saw it. Nice. I looked at S&W pistols too, but they don't offer a 9mm model. Funny, he also has a 686+ revolver just like mine.
